This learning setup is designed for students studying electrical engineering. It ensures easy and safe wiring with special cords and sockets. Machines, placed on sturdy frames, can be switched easily without screws, thanks to gear coupling. Operating at safe power levels and speeds, they allow effective learning without compromising safety. The setup can create various graphs and includes a special machine (DC Integrated) that acts as a Dynamometer, loading both motors and generators. This is unlike magnetic powder or eddy current brakes, which can only load coupled motors. The system also allows measuring shaft power with electronic torque/speed measurement. Comprehensive learning is supported with a set of student workbooks and an instructor’s guide.

Facilitates easy and safe wiring by students due to use of 4mm sturdy shrouded banana patch cords and shrouded socket arrangements.
All machines are mounted on finely painted sturdy base frame with easy machine interchangeability Use of gear coupling facilitates screwless coupling.

Technical Specifications

Instrumentation Power supply cum Multichannel DPM panel (EMT8)

DC Multi Output power supply.
Supplies DC power to neighbouring signal conditioning circuit panels like EMT9, CIP1, CIP2, MIT12, CE7 etc. through 20 pin FRC cable.
Provides 1 Ph. AC supply through 3 MCB’s, 4A each to power up other panels in the rack.
Optionally Multichannel 4 position DPM for Speed, Torque etc.
Green SBS5 socket is provided for extend earth.

SCR Actuator (variable DC) cum sensor signal conditioning panel (EMT9x3 Nos)

Full bridge SCR based 0V-195V / 5 Amp cosine firing with linear characteristics.
Supports signal conditioning circuit for speed, torque in kg wt. to output 0-2.5Vdc (FS).
2 Nos. of these supplies required for DC Armature, DC motor field & motor field.

DC voltmeter and DC ammeter panel (EMT6A/B)

DC voltmeter (0-300V),
DC Ammeter (0-5A) with polarity protection diode
Field failure relay to control Armature supply. Both 6A/6B needed simultaneously.
